Signal 47

Cinema for Inner Time

A Manifesto

Signal 47 is an experiment in attention.

It is cinema designed not for distraction, consumption, or interpretation,

but for inner time—the felt, non-linear, subjective experience of being alive.

Signal 47 treats film not as content,

but as a transmission.

We believe:

Time is not only measured.

It is experienced.

Art does not only communicate ideas.

It shapes states.

Cinema, when held with care,

can become a tuning instrument—

aligning perception, emotion, memory, and presence.

Signal 47 exists to:

  • Create conditions for deep listening
  • Restore reverence to shared attention
  • Explore cinema as a ritual medium
  • Support altered and expanded attentional states without instruction or coercion
  • Invite participants into relationship with time, not escape from it

What Signal 47 is not:

  • It is not entertainment
  • It is not therapy
  • It is not a spectacle
  • It is not instruction
  • It is not a substitute for personal responsibility

Signal 47 does not tell participants what to feel, believe, or experience.

It creates a container in which experience may arise.

The Film as Centerpiece

Each Signal 47 gathering is anchored by a film—

beginning with Time is Art: The Frequency of Love.

The film is presented without interruption,

held as a continuous signal rather than a narrative to be decoded.

Meaning is not delivered.

It is received, resisted, or ignored—as it should be.

The Gathering

A Signal 47 event is not a screening.

It is a temporary collective body.

Participants are invited, not marketed to.

Presence matters more than reaction.

Silence is as valid as speech.

Each gathering is shaped by:

  • The people present
  • The land and space holding it
  • The moment in time it occurs

No two Signal 47 gatherings are identical.

On Responsibility & Care

Signal 47 does not provide substances, instructions, or guarantees.

Participants arrive as autonomous beings,

responsible for their own bodies, boundaries, and choices.

Hosts and facilitators are stewards of space, tone, and care—

not guides of internal experience.

Safety is grounded in:

  • Clear orientation
  • Voluntary participation
  • Respect for limits
  • The freedom to step away

Signal 47 Is a Signal, Not a Conclusion

The number is not a claim.

The signal is not a doctrine.

Signal 47 points toward something felt, not proven—

a reminder that time, like love,

may be more alive than we have been taught to believe.

This is cinema for inner time.

This is art designed for a state.
