The ancestors are transmitting. Ancient wisdom is transmitting. But something is interfering with the signal. That interference is the systems that disconnect us from ourselves, each other, nature and the Divine. Divorced from the Divine is the first musical transmission from TIME IS ART: The Frequency of Love, the upcoming documentary film coming 2027.
One of the themes running through Time is Art: The Frequency of Love is the idea that human energy needs somewhere to go. We can direct it toward music, art, movement, ideas, connection, building, learning and creating. Or, when we don’t have an outlet, that same energy can begin looking for somewhere else to land. Drama. Overthinking. Resentment. Distraction. Conflict. Unused energy gets weird. The energy doesn’t necessarily disappear. It gets redirected.
We’re excited to share that Joel Mejia — director/editor of Time is Art: The Frequency of Love — has officially submitted the film to the Firelight Media Documentary Lab, a fellowship supporting filmmakers of color creating bold and visionary nonfiction films.
